Health and Safety Policy

It is the policy of Sefton Support Group to:

  • Maintain safe and healthy conditions for staff, volunteers, and others who use our service.

Sefton Support Group Will:

  • Provide adequate control of health and safety risks arising from our work activities.
  • Consult with staff and volunteers on matters affecting health and safety.
  • Provide and maintain safe equipment.
  • Ensure safe handling.
  • Provide information and instruction for volunteers and ensure that all volunteers receive adequate training to maintain a high level of health and safety within our organisation.

Additionally, Sefton Support Group Will:

  • Ensure that it regularly identifies and records risks.
  • Where appropriate, ensure that action is taken to reduce risks.

Awareness of Health & Safety Information

Sefton Support Group will ensure that everyone who uses the services (staff, volunteers, or members of the public) is aware of the following:

  • The location of Health and Safety information, including fire procedures.
  • Who is responsible for managing and implementing the policies.
  • The location of first aid provision.
