Join us on Friday, 28th March 2025, for a special Community Wellbeing Session as we welcome Amanda, a certified Tai Chi and Qigong instructor, to explore the fascinating history and health benefits of these ancient practices.

What Are Tai Chi and Qigong?

Tai Chi and Qigong are gentle, flowing exercises that help improve balance, flexibility, and relaxation, making them ideal for people of all ages and abilities. Studies have shown that these practices can support better posture, reduced stress, and improved overall wellbeing.

During this session, Amanda will share insights into how Tai Chi and Qigong have been used for centuries to support both physical and mental health. She will also introduce key concepts such as:

  • Yin and Yang – Understanding balance in movement and energy.
  • The Five Element Theory – Exploring how nature’s elements relate to our health and wellbeing.

You’ll also have the chance to try a simple, seated Qigong routine, which you can follow along with at your own pace.
