Living with cancer – or any life-threatening condition – can feel isolating. Even when you’ve got people around you, it’s not always easy to talk about how you’re really feeling.
That’s why Sefton Support Group and STEMCELLSCOUSERS are coming together to launch a new weekly drop-in session called Talking Buddies – a friendly place to come in, have a brew, and chat with people who understand.
What is Talking Buddies?
Talking Buddies is a relaxed, supportive session where you can:
- pop in for a tea or coffee
- have a chat at your own pace
- meet others in a similar situation
- take a moment to feel less alone
If you’d prefer something quieter, we can also offer a bit of space for a 1-to-1 chat.
Family members and carers are also very welcome. Even if you’re caring for someone living with cancer or another life-threatening condition, you are welcome to come along for a chat and a brew.
A gentle note
Talking Buddies is not medical advice and it’s not counselling. It’s simply a listening ear, friendship, and support from people who “get it”.
When and where
Talking Buddies — Every Monday, 10am–1pm
Sefton Support Group, 1 Duke Street, Formby

You don’t need to have the right words. You don’t even need to talk much if you don’t want to. Just come in as you are — the kettle will be on.
We’d love to see you.
