Community Wellbeing Session: Understanding Dementia & Support with Alzheimer’s Society
We were delighted to welcome representatives from the Alzheimer’s Society to our latest Community Wellbeing Session, where they delivered an informative and engaging talk about dementia and the support available to individuals and families affected by it.
The session helped attendees gain a greater understanding of dementia, the challenges it can present, and the importance of accessing support as early as possible. Our guest speakers shared valuable information about the services provided by Alzheimer’s Society, including practical guidance, emotional support, and resources available both locally and nationally.
Many people are touched by dementia in some way, whether personally or through a loved one, and the session provided a welcoming space to learn more, ask questions, and better understand the help that is available.
One of the key messages from the morning was that nobody should face dementia alone. Through their advice services, support groups, and ongoing campaigning work, Alzheimer’s Society continues to make a positive difference to the lives of thousands of people across the UK.
We would like to thank the team from Alzheimer’s Society for joining us and sharing their knowledge with our members. Their passion, experience, and commitment to supporting those affected by dementia shone through throughout the session.
