Raising Awareness for Our Community Wellbeing Sessions at the Charity Quiz Night

by | Nov 15, 2024 | Community News, Community Updates

We’re delighted to share how our recent Charity Quiz Night at The Railway in Formby was not only a fun-filled evening but also a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness about our upcoming Community Wellbeing Sessions Project, proudly funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event—you made it a truly memorable night. We’d also like to extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible team at The Railway for hosting us so warmly and helping make the evening such a success. 💙

Sharing Our Vision

Through our popup banner and informational leaflets, we introduced attendees to the goals of our Community Wellbeing Sessions, which aim to:

  • Provide a safe space to connect and build meaningful relationships.
  • Help reduce loneliness and foster a sense of belonging.
  • Offer peer support for mental health, encouraging shared experiences.
  • Feature guest speakers sharing valuable insights on wellbeing.
  • Create opportunities to relax, socialise, and enjoy refreshments.

A Community Coming Together

The quiz night allowed us to connect directly with the community, share details about the sessions, and gather valuable feedback. We were thrilled to see so much enthusiasm and interest in this project, which will bring people together to support their health and wellbeing.

What’s Next?

We’re putting the final touches on the Community Wellbeing Sessions, which will officially begin later this month at our centre on 1 Duke Street, Formby. Keep an eye on our website and social media for the confirmed start date and schedule.

Thank you once again to everyone who joined us and to The Railway for your fantastic hospitality. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community.
