We are pleased to be introducing regular Venus Debt Advice Drop-ins at Sefton Support Group, providing free, independent and confidential support for women who may be experiencing money worries or struggling with debt. ๐
The first drop-in will take place on Thursday 26th November 2026, with Jo Hughes from Venus available at our Formby centre to offer practical advice and support.
Following the first session, the drop-ins will take place on the last Thursday of the month every two months.
Free, Independent and Confidential Debt Advice
Money worries and debt can place a huge amount of pressure on individuals and families, and it is not always easy to know where to turn for help.
The Venus Debt Advice Service provides free, independent and confidential support to women who may be struggling with money worries or need some practical help getting their finances back on track.
Support available through the service can include:
- Managing and reducing debt
- Help with budgeting sheets
- Benefits checks
- Support with freezing interest and charges
- Dealing with creditors on your behalf
Come Along and Speak to Jo
The drop-in sessions at SSG will provide an opportunity to speak with Jo Hughes from Venus in a welcoming and supportive environment.
If you are worried about debt, struggling to manage household finances or simply feel that you could benefit from some advice, the session could be a useful first step towards getting the right support.
