Our Community Wellbeing Session on Friday, 31st October 2025 was both powerful and insightful as we welcomed Mel from Life’s for Living, Sefton.

Mel delivered a warm, honest, and incredibly informative session that helped shed light on the realities of living with ADHD, Autism, and other neurodiverse conditions. Drawing on both professional knowledge and lived experience, she offered a compassionate and clear explanation of what these conditions are, how they may present, and the impact they can have on everyday life.

Highlights from the session included:

  • Understanding ADHD and Autism beyond common stereotypes
  • How these conditions can present differently in individuals
  • Associated challenges such as anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or low self-esteem
  • Practical strategies to support neurodiverse individuals
  • Information about workshops, parent groups, and signposting support available locally

Mel’s down-to-earth approach made the session feel welcoming and inclusive.

We’d like to thank Mel and Leanne, from Life’s for Living, Sefton for an honest and meaningful session that really helped break down stigma and open up conversations around neurodiversity in our community.
